The Piano

the-piano

Ada, a mute mother is relocating to an island with her daughter after being assigned a marriage from her father. Soon as she gets to this island, the obnoxious boat crew head back in the water – leaving Ada and Flora. Days later men show up to carry their things back to the village. Sadly they leave her piano, a key element in the movie (hence the title). I found what made the piano even more significant was the videography continuously shooting the piano at different angles, even when Ada wasn’t playing, for example on the beach, giving it a soothing and relaxing feel. But when she got it back the feeling of relief and calm didn’t surround the piano, instead – lies and lust.
