Netflix: Ozark

Netflix recently released the third and newest season of their hit show ‘Ozark’ on Friday March 23rd. For those of you who don’t know, the show follows the life of Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman) and his wife and family. Marty is the protagonist who runs the entire finance and money laundering scheme for the Navarro Cartel.

Throughout the series we see him and his family fight against all odds to please an unpredictable drug kingpin, dodge efforts by the FBI, fend of crazy locals, and still somehow manage to live normal lives. Or appear to.

If you haven’t yet seen this show, I am a huge fan and I highly recommend binge watching it during your time in quarantine. I’ve already seen season 3 in it’s entirety and won’t drop any spoilers except the fact that there will be a 4th season. There are currently 10 episodes per season and each episode has a running time of about an hour.

For those who enjoy suspenseful television such as: Breaking Bad, Narcos, or You. Ozark will have you questioning your own moral compass, and maybe even rooting for the “bad” guy. If you do give it a watch, let me know what you think!

  1. I love this show and can’t wait to just sit and watch the whole season in one sitting. It might be unhealthy so ill add a few screeches every other episode.

  2. okay, you got me watching this. I like how they wrote in the emotional tension of the couple from the very first scene when Marty gets a vid text, and we think he’s peeping on some online random sex…but it’s so much more…
