Filmmakers from HPU will be shooting a final film at one of the iconic film sets for the independent feature film House of the Shark, from Director Pete Britos.

The short film project is envisioned as a horror pic, and includes House of the Shark star Kamahele.

The film’s Director is Emma Williams, and the Director of Photography is Alayna Call. The Writers are Emma Williams and Kamahele.

Previously titled Mango Dreams, House of the Shark first started shooting in 1996 with a then 14-year old Tiare Thomas. In 2012, Ms. Thomas, now 29, would reprise her role from the Mango Dreams project, and play the mother of an 8-year old who loses his father in a tragic boating accident off of Waikīkī.

Delving into this universe, the ghost story short film is entitled Kepeloa, and picks up 10-years later as the now 18-year old boy and his extended family prepare to leave the house they rent in the valley of Mānoa, on the island of Oʻahu.
