The movie Things Heard and Seen is a horror and thriller film. It begins with a young family moving out into an old farm house in the country side of New York. Catherine Claire played by Amanda Seyfried is the mother who the film focuses on. She begins to feel a presence in their home after multiple stage occurrences begin to happen. While this is all happening her husband is beginning to act terrible as their marriage falls apart. awful acts are committed throughout the film with a twist of spirits in their home.
Overall I liked this film. I’m definitely not one for horror but the story behind this is so intriguing that you can’t stop watching. I think they could have left some details in the movie left out for the audience to figure out for themselves. quite early in the film you learn that there are are two spirits in the house. What takes away the horror element is that one of the spirits is there to protect Catherine. By revealing that surprise too quickly every time you see the spirit you are no longer scared. It’s something I think could have been stung out a little more.
The story is pretty good and has lots of drama and crazy things that happen. This would be a great film for someone starting out watching horror movies.

I think that this is a good movie, but it could be better. Like you said, I agree with how some of the events were a bit predictable and took a bit of the “suspense” a horror movie should have. I think that the drama with what this movie entailed made up for the lack of suspense and plot for it. Good job on the blog!
